Student life
More than lessons
Students who use English outside the classroom improve faster. Our weekly clubs, workshops, projects and events are open to everyone studying at the school.

What happens here
A week at Northbridge
Classroom learning
Small groups, plenty of speaking and teachers who know every student by name. Lessons are structured but never silent.
Speaking activities
Weekly conversation clubs and pronunciation workshops, open to all students at no extra cost.
Exam workshops
Saturday workshops before each exam session covering technique, timing and last-minute questions.
School events
Quiz nights, international food evenings and an end-of-year celebration for students and families.
Projects
Class projects such as podcasts, short films and a student magazine written and edited in English.
Social activities
Museum visits, walking tours and day trips that give students a reason to use English outside class.
Student achievements
Certificates, exam results and university offers celebrated on our board and at our annual awards evening.
In their words
Student voices
I came to Northbridge with a band 5.5 and left with the 7.0 I needed for my master's. The writing feedback between lessons made the difference.
My daughter has been in the teen classes for three years. She is now working towards C1 Advanced and genuinely enjoys her lessons.
The Business English group is small and practical. I use what we cover in meetings the following week.
